Clinical Day: 6
Today the patient I was given refused care so instead I went around the floor and helped various others with whatever tasks they needed. I performed a few accu checks, administered some insulin, cleaned a patient, watched a dressing change be performed on a patient who had received a hysterectomy, drained a JP drain, watched an IV be hooked up, made some beds, took vitals and then practiced charting on the computer. My day was busy but not very interesting. I didn’t get to talk to many patients which is generally my favorite part of my day and I didn’t get to practice many of my new skills. Sorry this week was a little boring haha!
